#GivingTuesday takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this year on November 29.

It is becoming one of the nation’s largest days of giving for non-profit organizations.

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay is asking the community to support area kids and teens through the #LookBackGiveBack campaign – happening on #GivingTuesday.

With the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay turning 50 years old in 2017, they’re asking community members to look back to their own childhoods and remember what made them special.

Maybe it was a teacher that helped uncover potential? A newly discovered hobby that opened eyes to a life passion? A special trip taken with friends? A family member who never stopped trying to give motivation? No matter what childhood memories are provoked, SOMETHING in your younger years helped propel us into the adults we are today. By looking back, they hope everyone is reminded how important it is to have people “in your corner” believing in you and how critical it is to be offered opportunities to learn and grow.

In order to take part in our #GivingTuesday campaign, the club is asking community members to visit the donation page (www.bgcgb.org/donate) and contribute what they can toward the $5,000 goal. All proceeds will help where need is greatest – keeping the doors open, lights on, programs running and meals available for 3,500+ kids every weekday throughout the entire year.
