Better Biking: Route 66 Bicycle Adventure

Peter and Tracy are off for their third cross country bicycle trip. This time, tackling Historic Route 66, on a bicycle built for two – Green Bay to Chicago and then west to Santa Monica, CA. 
 
They’ll be leaving June 3rd from Green Bay, and expect to complete ride by the end of July – covering just over 3,000 miles. June 3-5 is also National Bike Travel Weekend.
 
The Fluckes will travel through eight states – including Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California
 
Some of the big stops include:
 
-City of Chicago – Illinois
 
-Gateway Arch - St Louis, Ozark Mountains - Missouri
 
- The iconic “Muffler Men” fiberglass statues 
 
- Cadillac Ranch – Texas
 
- Pueblos – New Mexico
 
- Petrified Forest National Park – Arizona
 
- Mojave desert, Santa Monica Pier, Pacific Ocean – California
