The organizers of “Ben’s Wish” are hosting a dinner fundraiser and auction in September.
Peter and Becky Delain started the non-profit to help feed hungry children when their son, Ben, was killed in an ATV crash in August 2007. He was just 11 years old.
Just two days before Ben died, while on a family trip; he did something that would serve as an inspiration for his parents. He grabbed an apple, a fresh piece of fruit, and tossed it to the man in need. He gave his food to a homeless man.
Now, the family collects food to donate to local pantries. They also fill backpacks and hand out to children on Fridays, so students are not hungry over the weekend when they are away from school.

All proceeds to benefit schoolchildren living in poverty of some healthy food on the weekends.
