Ted Cruz (R) and Bernie Sanders (D) each won their party's Presidential Primaries in Wisconsin. As the polls closed at 8:00 PM, long lines were reported across the state. Those still in line were able to cast their votes in the election.

Many precinct workers were surprised at the high turnout. "People are becoming engaged and they're young," Outagamie County Democratic Party member Mary Ginnebaugh explained. "The likelihood of them staying engaged and continuing to vote and be active in party politics is very high."

For local Republican candidates, getting the message out often became difficult with the high profile Presidential primary. "There's been so many adds for the Presidency, It's been hard for these local candidates, who don't have a lot of money to spend on their campaigns," state representative Dave Murphy told us. "It's hard for them to get their message out sometimes when there's so much going on."

County and municipalities will finalize the election results over the next several days.
