Dennis Schulze of Beloit started his journey Thursday to shake President Donald Trump's hand.

Schulze flew out to Wilmington, Delaware where he'll begin riding his wheelchair 100 miles to Washington, D.C. White House staff say the President will meet Schulze to commend him for his determination.

You'll recall, Schulze made a 170 mile trek in his wheelchair from Janesville to Lambeau Field in the cold this past winter. It took him six weeks to reach the stadium.

Schulze lost his lower right leg in a truck accident in 2012. The crash, and other tragedies he's experienced, inspire him to make these long trips in his wheelchair in order to raise money for charities he is passionate about.
