APPLETON -- Safety, it's the number one concern when it comes to traveling in severe winter weather.
"All the decisions that are made as far as cancelations or delays are for the safety of you traveling" Says Pat Tracey of the Appleton International Airport.
"Be prepared for anything so in your carryon luggage have all your prescriptions medicines a book to read so in case you are delayed you'll be occupied." continued Tracey
Crews at the airport, out early, testing snow plows to get you in the air as soon as they can...
"We'll make sure our trucks are ready to go as far as the engine running right and tested"
Says John Edwards, the Airfield Supervisor, as he test the 3 in one machine to plow, de-ice and salt the runways.
"We try to get out before it starts snowing and the guys will be out there a long night "
Even though it may take a little long, you'll get to your final destination, safely even with this winter weather.
