A Winnebago County Sheriff's deputy has died after a cardiac incident, the sheriff's office said on its Facebook page Thursday.
Deputy Adam Bauer passed away Wednesday night around 10 p.m. He was 30 years old and leaves behind a wife and 2-year-old son, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputy Bauer started his career with the Sheriff's Office in 2009 as a Reserve Deputy and was selected as a full-time Deputy in 2010, the department said.
He previously worked with the Oshkosh Police Department as a Community Service Officer and Telecommunications Clerk.
