Wings for Autism event held in Appleton

Posted

The Appleton International Airport hosted an event designed for families who are traveling with loved ones who have autism.

It is part of the program called The Arc's Wings for Autism. The program’s goal is to help lower the stress they hand their families have when traveling.

They got the full experience, including getting boarding passes, going through security and boarding the plane.

Organizers say it also helps airlines lower the stress children and parents feel.
