This is the 7-th year of the event and it continues to grow giving tourists a taste of the country side of Door County. "They can go from winery to winery and be able to taste and sample and see the product and what’s made in door county wineries" says Jack Moneypenny, Door County Visitor Bureau.

The wine trail features all 8 of the wineries in Door County and you can sample at all of them. The event is to promote the growing wine industry. "The wine industry by its self is the fastest growing industries in Door County and also in the state" says Lawrie

The wine trail brings in hundreds of people from across the United States which in turn boosts tourism here in Door County."They do other shopping they do restaurants and excursions so really the dollars and economic impact of that will be spread throughout Door County “says Moneypenny.

So whether you prefer door county's famous fruit wine or the more traditional red and white. There's something for everyone."We all each have a little bit of a different menu when it comes to the tastes of the wines" says Lawrie.
