ASHWAUBENON, Wis,- Near the Resch Center in the stadium district D2 Sports Bar general manager Rob Soik says the crowds came in waves all weekend.
"It was insanity. There were a lot of people from the area, a lot of new people, a lot of teams that have never been to state before," said Soik.
Crowds that came to see some basketball and the families supporting the players are checking out the local businesses.
"It was so neat, a lot of schools that are from the Madison area and stuff like that to get to come up here otherwise they probably would have never came up to Green Bay," said Jim Dietrich of Reedsville.
Crowds were eager to experience other events in the area once here, like the area's largest Home and Garden Show.
"We built a house 11 years ago and now I'm looking to redo the front of our house with landscaping," said Dietrich.
It's this weekends sunny weather that Soik and others say helped them draw in hundreds of customers looking to make the most of their time outdoors.
"We were able to open up the garage doors and have the patio open and it was just a steady stream of people every day, all day," said Soik.
A sudden boost in business that Soik says can help make up for the slower periods.
"It's a plus in a slow month, let's just say that," said Soik.
Wrapping up the change of season on a high note as the pursuit to be a champion brings the big crowds to town.
