SHAWANO, Wis. - A tree from Wisconsin will once again serve as the White House Christmas tree this holiday season.
Jim, Diane and David Chapman, owners of Silent Night Evergreens in Endeavor, Wisconsin, were the Grand Champion winners of the National Christmas Tree Contest this year.
White House Chief Usher Timothy Harleth and White House Grounds Superintendent Dale Haney will select the tree from Hanauer's Tree Farms in Shawano on Monday.
The tree will be displayed in the Blue Room of the White House.
It will be harvested in late November, just before the presentation to the First Family.
Winners of the National Christmas Tree Association's national tree contest have provided the official White House Christmas Tree since 1966.
