Governor Walker made a stop in Green Bay Monday.
He talked about the goals of keeping health insurance premiums from rising and making health insurance more affordable.
Walker believes, if those goals are achieved, more people can receive preventive care and avoid unneeded trips to the emergency room.
Walker also pushed for everyone to be covered.
"We want to make it clear for everyone, whether your healthcare coverage is part of your employer-based plan or whether you buy it individually, that everyone in this state... no matter what happens in Washington will have access to coverage," Walker said.
Walker also advocated giving SeniorCare a more permanent status, instead of the program needing renewals every four years.
