Organizers with “Justice of Sara” say they plan to hold a vigil for Sara Schmidt and other victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
The mother of three was murdered after filing for divorce from her husband, Robert. He was facing charges for allegedly tying Sara up, pointing a gun and sexually assaulting her on New Year’s Eve. When he got out of jail on bond, he shot and killed Sara, before turning the gun on himself.
The vigil is set for Friday, February 9th from 7-8:30 p.m. at World Headquarters in Appleton.
