The end of the 2016 sturgeon spearing season is near.
Spearing on the upriver lakes (Ppygan, Winneconne and Butte des Morts) ends at 1:00 pm on Friday.
The 90 percent trigger was reached on Thursday.
On Lake Winnebago 36 sturgeon were speared, bringing the season total to 536.
