Looking for a "Pot of Gold" this St. Patrick's Day? The Wisconsin Department of Revenue might be sending you a check soon.
Last week, the Department send 17,486 checks worth $8.06 million. Using your tax records, the agency tracks owners of unclaimed bank accounts, un-cashed dividends, and insurance policies and awards money equal to the value of the unclaimed property.
Owners across the state will see these checks in their mailbox soon.
