WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis—Two people are safe after their truck was partially submerged on Lake Winneconne.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call around 10:24 p.m. on Sunday for a truck going through the ice. They say the truck was partially submerged, but had stopped sinking.
One person was stuck inside the vehicle, and the other was able to get out and was on the roof of the truck.
Rescue boats were dispatched to the area, where one man and one woman were rescued.
The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
