The Two Rivers fire department tells NBC26 that three people are safe after a house fire in Two Rivers.
Crews were called out around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday to a house at 2622 13th Street.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke and fire in the attic. The second floor also has water and smoke damage.
"They pulled ceiling in the center area, opened up the attic area and exterior vents on each side," said Cheif Scott Schneider. "[They then] sprayed water in to extinguish the fire."
Chief Schneider says that the fire started in the attic. The total damage is estimated around $60,000.
The cause is under investigation. Everyone was able to make it out of the home safely.
