Two people arrested for drug possession after traffic stop

Two people have been taken into custody after a traffic stop resulting in a drug arrest.

City of Manitowoc Police conducted a traffic stop just before midnight Tuesday on I-43 at County Road JJ, just outside of Manitowoc.

Two people were in the car, which officers identified as having several indicators of possible drug possession after questioning the two people.

The officer deployed his K9 partner, "Major" around the car and the officer's K9 gave a positive alert after smelling the exterior of the car.

After a search, officers found approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana inside the car.

A 28-year-old Green Bay woman and a 32-year-old Green Bay man were taken into custody.

The 28-year-old woman was held at the Manitowoc County Jail on a felony charge of Party to the crime of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The 32-year-old male was held at the Manitowoc County Jail on a felony charge of Party to the crime of Possession of Marijuana with intent to deliver.
