A one million dollars bond has been set for both David Tatum Jr, 21, and Atlas Watson, 21, in the murder of 21-year-old Zachariah Boose.
Police say Boose is the victim in the September 29th shooting on Lime Kiln Road, after an "ongoing dispute" with the other men.
According to a criminal complaint, Tatum was upset with Boose over things he heard he was saying about Tatum's girlfriend and other mutual acquaintances.
The complaint says Boose was approached by two men who police later identified as Watson and Tatum and shot 3 times while walking on a sidewalk.
Later, Tatum went to the police station asking about his "brother being shot," and police initially believed him to be a witness to the shooting. Further review of surveillance video revealed Tatum to be a suspect and he was arrested. Tatum also identified Watson to police as the other man involved.
Police were able to recover the murder weapon, which the complaint states belonged to Tatum but Watson used to shoot Boose.
Watson will be back in court on October 11th and Tatum on the 12th.
Friends of Boose have started a GoFundMe page to raise money to return his body to Detroit, where his family is.
