Two people have died following a crash Tuesday morning.
At around 8 a.m., the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of State Highway 76 and County Rd GG in the Town of Vinland.
Once on scene, deputies found the accident involved a large commercial truck and a sedan. The passenger of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was pronounced dead after being transported by helicopter to a local hospital.
The driver of the truck involved was transported via ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the names of those involved at this time pending notification of family.
