GREEN BAY, Wis-- Two people are in custody after a series of armed robberies in the Green Bay area.
A 34-year-old Green Bay man, and a 26-year-old Green Bay man have been taken into custody in connection with the robberies.
The Green Bay Police Department is continuing to investigate robberies to area convenience stores and gas stations. They say there has also been an increase in auto thefts which were later used in the robberies.
Over the last three months, investigators were able to collect evidence from each of the crime scenes to identify the suspects responsible for committing the crimes.
The suspects are being held in the Brown County Jail on probation violations. They are being charged with Armed Robbery and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Owner’s Consent (auto theft). As a result of these arrests, investigators cleared six armed robberies and four auto thefts.
NBC26 is choosing not to name the suspects until they have been officially charged.
