CHICAGO (AP) — Two children have been shot at an elementary school playground on Chicago's South Side but authorities do not believe their injuries are life-threatening.
The Chicago Tribune reports that a 13-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl were shot at about 1:45 p.m. on Friday on the playground outside Warren Elementary School. Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford says he thinks both girls are students at the school.
Langford says the children were taken to Comer Children's Hospital.
