UPDATE: Police have identified the two victims of a fatal car crash in Sheboygan.

Officials say the two occupants that died on scene are the driver, 45-year-old Thelonius Childress, and passenger, 27-year-old Rashanique Eastman. Both are Sheboygan residents.

A 30-year-old passenger has been treated and released, and her 4-year-old child is stable and recovering in a Milwaukee hospital.

Officials say the early investigation indicates excessive speed, reckless driving, and potential driver impairment contributed to the crash.

At about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, Sheboygan Police responded to a single car crash near South 10th Street and Georgia Avenue.

The car struck a tree and parked vehicle. Two of the car's occupants died on scene while two others were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheboygan Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is on site. Police ask drivers to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
