Police: Two bodies discovered in home had been there several days

UPDATE: The Oneida Police Department report two bodies discovered in a home had been dead for several days. Officers also identified the victims as Harry Brown Bear and Lorraine Brown Bear. Investigators consider the deaths as homicides.

UPDATE: According to an Oneida spokesperson, a man and woman were found deceased inside the residence. Names are not being released pending the notification of next of kin. 

The spokesperson goes on to say, there will not be a press conference Wednesday night, but as information is able to be released, it will be passed on.

The bodies of two people have been found at a home on the Oneida Reservation. Police have determined the public is not in danger, according to a tribal spokesperson.

The police department released the following statement:

"On September 14, 2016, the Oneida Police Department responded to a welfare check in the Site 2 area of the Town of Oneida, Outagamie County.  There were 2 deceased bodies found inside the residence.  Names are not being released pending the notification of next of kin.  The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the ongoing investigation.  We do not believe there is any danger to the public."
