ASHWAUBENON, Wis.- Teresa Warren is stuck at the Austin Straubel Airport for hours Friday afternoon while she waits for her daughter.
"She was supposed to meet up with me originally in Detroit and we would fly here together, now I have to wait four hours for her to get here," said Warren.
Warren is coming to Titletown for a wedding and her daughter is traveling from South Carolina, but she's stranded because planes were delayed.
"And already in Atlanta they had problems with that plane too so they're late, so she might not even get in here until tonight," said Warren.
Delays are to be expected as the weather worsens.
"Passengers should stay in very close contact with their airline," said Austin Straubel Airport director, Tom Miller.
Make sure the airline has your cell phone number and email address so they can get in touch with you if something happens with your flight.
"It may take a day or two or three in order to be able to get where you're going," said Miller.
That's news Warren and her daughter do not want to hear.
"She's more concerned about not getting here for her friend's wedding," explained Warren.
Travelers are told to pack their patience because this winter storm could bring their plans to a halt.
