The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will be closing down a part of WIS 22 in Oconto County starting Monday, March 27th.
The closure is for pavement, intersection and culvert work from Highland Drive in Oconto Falls to US 141. The $4.3 million project is scheduled for completion in mid-August 2017.
During pavement, culvert and intersection work, WIS 22 will be detoured in two stages to accommodate as much traffic as possible through Oconto Falls. Wis 22 traffic will be closed between County I and Duame Road for box culvert replacement.
Reconditioning of WIS 22 consists of milling the existing asphalt pavement and placing a new driving surface. WIS 22 base-layer improvements will be completed in certain areas.
Stage 1 detour will take place till mid-July. Stage 2 will take till August 9th from County B to County A to US 141 to WIS 22.
Access will be maintained for property owners and businesses.
