State Superintendent Tony Evers defeated incumbent Gov. Scott Walker and will become the next governor of Wisconsin.
Evers, a Democrat, won by a narrow margin over the Republican Governor Walker.
The two were locked in a tight race, with the latest Marquette University Law poll showing the race at a dead heat.
Walker has served as Wisconsin’s governor since 2011.
