We're just days away from the Packers home opener against the Detroit Lions and businesses are rolling out the green and gold carpet.
At Aloft Hotel in Green Bay the phones keep ringing.
Hotel rooms are beginning to fill up ahead of the first Packers home game of the season.
"We definitely plan for the eight home games every year, you can't plan for the dates but you definitely plan for the end of third quarter and fourth quarter you're going to have eight home games in the area," said Aloft Hotel sales director, Stacie Christel.
In Green Bay the population is more than one hundred thousand people and that number is expected to nearly double as 80,000 people are expected to pack Lambeau Field, bringing in between $13 and $14 million to Green Bay.
"It's an exciting weekend, it's a lot of fun almost like a holiday here in the greater Green Bay area," said Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitor's Bureau president and CEO, Brad Toll.
Some businesses going all out, at Kroll's West they host bands and tailgating parties before every home game.
"Game day is a year long process, we start hiring bands as soon as the schedule comes out. We start putting notes to the employees that they'll have to work on those weekends, it's all hands on deck during football season," said Kroll's West owner, Michael Wier.
Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions kicks off at noon The parking lot at Lambeau opens at 8:00 and gates open at 10:00
