Manitowoc police say four people suffered minor injuries after a crash Saturday. This happened just after 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of S. 10th and Franklin Streets.

Police say the crash involved a Maritime Metro Transit Bus.

Police report, a 45-year-old Manitowoc woman had been southbound on S. 10th Street driving a Mini Cooper.

According to a witness, the woman failed to stop for a red light at Franklin Street and she hit a Hyundai Tucson broadside that was westbound on Franklin Street driven by a 76-year-old Manitowoc man.

The crash caused the Hyundai to careen into a Maritime Metro Transit Bus that was stopped at the intersection on Franklin Street facing east.

The female driver was taken to the hospital for possible injuries to her neck and shoulders.

The 76-year-old man suffered only a minor hand injury and was not taken to the hospital.

Two passengers from the bus, a 28-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, both from Manitowoc, were also taken to the hospital to be checked out for possible injuries.

According to police, the Manitowoc woman was cited for violation of a red traffic signal.
