Three teenage boys are safe after being rescued from ice out on Lake Winnebago.
The Calumet County Sheriff's Department first got a call around 7:06 p.m., of three teens out on the ice.
The boys had walked out on the ice which then broke, causing them to drift away from shore.
"It's probably a safe bet to make that there was a crack and with all the heaving that's been going on it separated itself and it doesn't take long before that starts wondering into the open water," said Neenah-Menasha Assistant Fire Chief, Mike Sipin.
At 8:15 p.m., a rescue boat was able to locate the boys. They were about one mile south of High Cliff State Park.
No one was hurt.
The Harrison Fire Department, First Responders, Calumet County Dive Team, Calumet County Sheriff's Department and Neenah Menasha Fire Department ice rescue boat all responded.
