UPDATE - DOOR COUNTY - Wisconsin Public Service officials say they've restored power to about 14,000 customers who lost power starting Wednesday night.
Matt Cullen, WPS Spokesperson, says forceful winds caused a transmission line to go down. The transmission line was fixed, put back up and crews re-energized it. Cullen says once the transmission line was fixed, power was restored to two sub stations that lost power overnight because of the downed transmission line.
You may still see some down power lines. It's important, for your safety, you stay 25 feet away from downed lines.
"Be reminded that those lines could always be potentially energized and we need our public and our communities to be mindful of that. Our crews are highly trained and they're working to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible. said Karmen Lemke, WPS Spokesperson.
