The race for undetermined voters is on

Posted

MENASHA, Wis.- It's all eyes on Wisconsin this week in the race for President.

"I think it's awesome that we're finally actually getting some people down here in Wisconsin because usually we don't really think of ourselves as a big state," said Issac Stat of Neenah.

A lot of focus has been on Northeast Wisconsin in particular and that's not by mistake.

"Green Bay, the Fox Cities down to Fond du Lac are really pivotal in determining how the state's going to eventually go," said UW Fox Valley assistant political science professor, George Waller.

Everyone is pushing for those undecided voters, like Andrew Bruss of Appleton.

"I was somewhat undecided, but I'm planning on voting for Bernie Sanders," said Bruss.

Bruss was persuaded in voting that way because of presidential candidates visits this week, but others say t hey already have their minds made up.

"Clinton, I think has got a good reputation you know she's got some baggage, but at the same time you know she was secretary of state and she was the first lady," said Dan Kuzlik of Rhinelander.

Others say they're backing Donald Trump.

"You got to look at him as a business man and that's what America needs is a business man because we're not doing good right now," said Zackary Diener of Oshkosh.

According to the latest Marquette Poll, Ted Cruz is supported in Wisconsin by even more voters.

"When these races are close like they are just a few percentage switch over night or in a couple of days can essentially affect the outcome," said Waller.

Wisconsin's primary is Tuesday, April 5.
