Green Bay police report a suspect is in custody and facing charges in connection with a weekend stabbing near a gas station on Mather and Broadway Streets.
Officers tell NBC26 a 15-year-old boy suffered a non life threatening injury and his mother was cut in the hand when she tried to step in and save her son.
Several witnesses watch the incident unfold and are being interviewed by investigators.
So far, police have not found a motive for the crime.

Green Bay Police are investigating a stabbing at the Sunoco Gas Station near Mather and Broadway Streets. The victim is a 15-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries. Police were called to the scene around 7:50pm. The suspect, a man in his twenties, initially ran away from officers who were able to chase him down and make an arrest.
The victims mother, a 37-year-old woman, was also involved, according to police. Both victims are being treated at a local hospital. Police do not believe the suspect and victims knew each other prior to the incident, and the cause of the incident is still unclear.
Police say a forensic investigation is underway. Investigators say there are no other suspects and the public is not in danger.
