Today the Appleton Police department was notified around noon of what was believed to be a suspicious item.
The item was a backpack found near a terrace adjacent to the Islamic Center of Appleton.
Police say they used K-9's to sniff the backpack, and it was also x-rayed.
The backpack was found to be full of personal items and there was never any danger.
