Suspects in custody from July 1 shooting

Posted

Green Bay Police say three suspects are in custody in connection with a shooting that happened over the weekend.

Police say on July 1, just before 2:00 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 800 Block of Elmore St. When officers arrived, all people involved had left the scene.

Investigators spoke with witnesses and were able to develop suspect leads. Police say this shooting was in retaliation from a disturbance the night before at a bar on the east side of Green Bay. Police also recovered a stolen handgun from a June 2018 theft from a home on the city’s west side.

Police are recommending charges for a 22-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old juvenile.
NBC26 is choosing not to name the suspects at this time as charges have not been formally filed.

Green Bay Police say investigations into other recent drive by shootings will continue. Investigators are working to determine if the shootings are related. If anyone has more information you should contact the Green Bay Police Department at (920) 448-3208.
