Suspects caught in Sheboygan theft incident

SHEBOYGAN, Wis—Two people are facing charges after a string of incidences in Sheboygan.
 
It began Thursday evening on the city’s south side when police responded to a call of a hit and run of an unattended vehicle, and someone trying to steal from an unlocked car.
 
Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver fled from the officer. The officer did not pursue, but noticed the car pull into a nearby driveway. Two men fled the car on foot.
 
One of the suspects burglarized a nearby unlocked garage and stole a bicycle in an attempt to get away.
The suspects were identified and a search warrant was obtained for a north side home. The stolen bicycle was located, and one suspect was taken into custody. The second suspect later turned himself in.
 
A 22-year-old Sheboygan man was referred to the District Attorney’s Office on charges of Eluding an Officer, Burglary, Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing, Operating after Revocation, and Possession of Schedule II non-narcotic drugs.
 
A 17-year-old Sheboygan man was referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office for Obstructing.
