Two suspects were taken into custody Wednesday in a textbook theft case.

More than 60 textbooks, worth more than $12,000, were stolen from offices at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in June, according to a news release.

Authorities in Texas this morning arrested Ryan S. Lewis and Genesis G. Abellar in the case, according to the news release.  Each suspect is 33 years old.

There were similar incidents at University of Wisconsin campuses in River Falls and Stout, in addition to the University of North Dakota and Minnesota State University, the news release said.

Lewis “was surrounded by thousands of textbooks and in the process of selling them online" when he was arrested, the news release said.  Each suspect has a Houston address, records show.

Warrants were issued for Lewis and Abellar on charges including burglary and theft.
