The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has identified a prime suspect in several of the recent daytime burglaries.  As of Tuesday night, the suspect is in custody, according to the sheriff's office.

Since the end of October, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has taken reports of at least five daytime burglaries where the suspects stole cash and a total of approximately 17 firearms. The Sheriff's Office says these burglaries occurred in the townships of Friendship and Eldorado, and the homes targeted were not locked.

The Sheriff's Office says Matthew RK Britton is a prime suspect. A news release from Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office lists Britton as homeless.  Britton was taken into custody in connection with a separate warrant as of Tuesday night, authorities said.
