MILWAUKEE — A suspect is in custody after a Milwaukee Police officer was shot Wednesday morning.
A police source told TODAY'S TMJ4 that the officer was shot and injured near 12th and Dakota on Milwaukee's south side.
Neighbors confirm a heavy police presence in response to shots fired in the area.
Zablocki Elementary School is on lockdown due to the heavy police presence.
Froedtert Hospital has confirmed an officer has been brought in for a gunshot wound.
