Many Wisconsinites had a once in a lifetime opportunity of meeting Vice President Pence when he landed at Austin Straubel International Airport.

Supporters came out to greet Pence when he arrived with Governor Walker.

Many told us this is something they never believed they would be able to do.

They said this could be the most important hand they shake in their lives.

Supporters were excited to stand behind Pence as he showed his support for Walker.

A group of UW-Green Bay students was at the airport.

They said they're excited to represent the young conservatives in the area.

"I actually voted in the last election. I had just turned 18, and I voted for Trump and Pence, and I am really excited to see him and welcome him. And, you know, as a youth, you know, I'm really kind of excited to see him and show our support that, you know, there are young conservatives out there," said Jake Dabringer, a member of UW-GB's College Republicans.

They added it's such an honor to be able to welcome the vice president to our region.

Representative Mike Gallagher and Leah Vukmir also greeted Pence and Walker as they departed the plane.
