Menasha, WI -- A car was found submerged at a boat launch in Menasha early Monday morning.
A bystander found the car just after midnight. The Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue was called out to the 9th street boat launch on Little Lake Butte des Morts.
Officials say when they arrived a silver Ford Taurus was submerged in the water to the point where only the roof of the car could be seen.
They brought in a dive team to search the water in and around the car.
They also helped attach a cable to get the car towed out of the water.
Divers searched the water once more after the car was removed from the water and found nobody.
Menasha Police learned the driver of the vehicle borrowed the car from a friend.
The driver, a 38-year-old Town of Menasha man, said he didn't realize 9th Street ended at the lake and he missed his turn.
The driver was cited for operating without a valid drivers license.
