A 66-year-old Sturgeon Bay man was killed while he was working on a road east of Sturgeon Bay at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday.
The Door County Sheriff Department along with Door County Emergency Services and Sturgeon Bay Fire Department responded to Mathey Road south of Highway TT for the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, but it appears a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old Sturgeon Bay man was traveling north on Mathey Road, south of Highway TT and struck the victim.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with the investigation. Names have not been released pending notification of family.
