Monday morning, there was a false report of an intruder at Mapleview Intermediate School.
The Kimberly Area School Districtreleased a statement on its website, stating all students are safe.
"At the time, staff was not aware that it was a false report and implemented our safety protocols," the school district says.
School officials say school counselors and administrators are available to respond to students and parents as needed.
The school district says its incoming phone lines are down. They are working with law enforcement who are investigating the incident.
