A major milestone for Natasha Fuller, the student who received her teacher's kidney, she left Children's Hospital today six days after the life saving transplant operation.
The pair from Oakfield Elementary School saw each other for the first time since the operation, and they were all smiles. Jodi Schmidt who donated the kidney was happy to have been able to help the young girl.
Natasha's parents released a statement saying they're thrilled "Tasha" is going home, and she still has some healing to do. Now a lifetime bond connects a teacher and student.
