Green Bay resident Kaela Gedda suffered a stroke at age 19. She says her arm felt like it was sleeping, and then she was unable to walk across the room without support..
She went to the ER, and an MRI revealed she had a stroke.
"I didn't know what a stroke was," explains Gedda, "it took the doctors 7 hours to diagnose me, and when they said 'Kaela had a stroke,' I had no idea what to think. I thought, 'am I going to die?'"
Three years later, At 22, Kaela had a mini stroke. She says she is now aware of warning signs, and wants to educate others.
Some of those include face drooping, arm weakness, and speech difficulty. At that point, experts say it's time to call 9-1-1.
