Severe storms that moved through Northeast Wisconsin Wednesday caused widespread damage, including to several ThedaCare facilities.
ThedaCare At Home retail store in Appleton saw the most problems, with heavy damage to the roof, a power outage and a cut gas line. The building is secured, according to ThedaCare leaders, but they're looking to find a different location for the time being.
They're not sure how long it will take before the facility is back in operation.
Here's the damage other facilities suffered:
- ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca is without power and operating on a generator.
- ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano was operating on an emergency generator but is back on full power
- ThedaCare Medical Center-Wild Rose is without power. Some downed trees landed on the roof of the clinic, causing damage.
- Heritage and Peabody Manor in Appleton is operating on a backup generator. Patients and residents are safe.
Damage is still being assessed.
