The Fond du Lac Sheriff's Department reports finding a large number of stolen property at a storage unit in West Bend. Investigators conducted a search warrant to enter a storage unit where the items were discovered. In all, four truckloads of property were removed.
Police in Mayville also recovered property. Deputies tell NBC26 the thefts have been going on since 2009. Renters of area storage units are urged to check them for missing items. Many of the thefts have not been discovered or reported to police.
If thefts are discovered, property owners are asked to report the missing items to you local police or the Fond du Lac Sheriff's office.
