Ashwaubenon, WI -- Heavy fog could throw a hitch in your early Thursday morning commute. Limited visibility could slow things way down and be dangerous for drivers.
Around 5 a.m., visibility was pretty poor in Ashwaubenon and throughout the Green Bay area. According to the National Weather Service, visibility was down to about a quarter mile or less in some places.
Dash cam footage shot around 3:30 a.m. Thursday showed the 172 bridge with very poor visibility.
Here's a few tips to keep drivers safe.
- Keep a safe distance from other vehicles
- Make sure your lights are turned on
- Use low beam headlights, high beams will make visibility worse.
- Stay alert
- Slow down
Fog was expected to be an issue on roadways for much of the morning.
