Cases testing positive fall under 7% Tuesday

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — The percentage of cases coming back positive fell nearly 2% Tuesday. Of nearly 10,000 people tested, 6.4% came back positive; that's compared to 8.1% Monday.

The state health department reported 638 new cases bringing the total case count to 71,492. The number of people who've recovered from the virus has stayed near the same at 88% of total cases. They add there are still more than 7,300 active cases.

Thirty-seven more people have been hospitalized. The total number of hospitalizations makes up just under 8% of total cases.

Thirteen more deaths bring the state's total to 1,094.
