State trial date set for Joseph Jakubowski

A burglary suspect known for sending a political manifesto to President Trump and setting off a nationwide manhunt will face a state trial this October.

The trial for Joseph Jakubowski will be in Janesville, where he reportedly stole more than a dozen firearms from a gun store in April. It is set to start October 23.

After his arrest, Jakubowski faced state burglary charges and federal firearms charges.

He pleaded not guilty in April to the state charges of burglary, theft and possession of burglarious tools.

His federal trial is set for September 25.
